
Manila, Philippines – Ascendens Asia Group (AAG) and Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professions (SIMP) held its 8th Joint Multidisciplinary Research Conference (8JMRC) at Hotel Jen Manila, Pasay City, Philippines last 29 & 30 June 2018. The said conference attended by more than 70 participants from Philippines and Singapore.

A remarkable research paper titled “Katorse: A Descriptive Case Study among Teenage Mothers” by Ms. Alyssa Nicole T. Buencamino, with her co-authors – Mr. Jhobel L. Del Villar and Ms. Corinne L. Tapit, was presented by senior high school students from St. Agnes Academy.

The researchers of the said research paper examined the factors that led the respondents to teenage pregnancy; the consequences of the actions; and the respondents’ coping process. The presentation was notably timely and led to different reaction and feed backs the audience.

JMRCs’ noble intent is to provide platform for scholars to present their research works and engage them in intelligent discussions with other participants. JMRCs also aim to extend opportunities to learn from seasoned professionals during plenary sessions as they talk about timely and relevant topics.
